Module 4 covers the essential
one-to-one people management skills required to build and maintain
a robust, committed and self sustaining work team.
Participants are given a firm grounding in
generic communication skills before acquiring the specific skills
of interviewing for different purposes. After training, participants
are required to plan, prepare, and conduct an interview of each
type. Interviews are observed discreetly but openly using video
equipment, and feedback based on specific observable behaviour
is given to each interviewer. Participants each receive their
own VHS recording to take home for further study.
Concerning disciplinary matters in
which the specific procedures of companies may vary, emphasis
is placed very much on developing the skills and practices that
inhibit the causes of grievance, conflict and indiscipline.
